Golden yellow, with coppery highlights. Peach, apricot, pineapple and tropical dried fruit aromas. Consistency on the palate, softness and elegance nicely structured by the oak barrels. Wine with great balance, favorable acidity and a well-harmonized residual sugar. Long in the mouth. Aging: Seven years in the vinsantaia loft-area in small casks, with the mother (thick substance remaining from previous vintages), then 12 months in bottle. Suitable for long cellaring.
Concentrated flavors of caramel, dried apricot, quince paste, roasted walnut and smoke pervade this ripe, powerful sweetie. Brisk, yet balanced toward the alcohol. Moderate length. Drink now through 2015.
