Wine AdvocateThis sleeper of the vintage is the finest Cadet Bon I have yet tasted. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc from a 12-acre, south-facing vineyard, it possesses a dense plum/purple color in addition to an exceptional nose of spice box, black cherries, black currants, and hints of wood and earth. The serious, but sweet, velvety tannins give the wine a fleshy, opulent mouthfeel. This 2005 St.-Emilion should be at its peak in 4-5 years, and last for 20 years.

Wine SpectatorDisplays intense aromas of blackberry, prune, coffee and boysenberry. Full-bodied, with very silky, refined tannins that tickle the palate. Has a medium finish, with an attractive freshness. Best after 2012. 1,900 cases made.
