An exhibit in the mastery of blending, the 2014 Evenstad Reserve Pinot Noir evokes mystery. Provocative notes of black currant, dark cherries, and cloves fill the glass. In the mouth, it glides effortlessly across the palate exposing waves of complex flavors reminiscent
of blueberry pie and compote. With velvet tannins, brooding depth and concentration, the long weighted finish lingers with great finesse and persistence.
Vinous

Deep, glistening scarlet. Ripe, spice- and smoke-tinged aromas of black raspberry, cherry cola and musky flowers on the perfumed nose. Juicy red and dark berry liqueur flavors are braced by a core of smoky minerality and pick up allspice and mocha nuances with aeration. Concentrated as well as lively, with no rough edges and a sexy floral quality that emerges on the persistent finish, where rounded tannins lend shape and gentle grip.

Aromatically intriguing, this opens with an exotic mix of Asian spices. It's a lightly chocolatey, textured wine, with tart, firm blackberry fruit. Tannins are chewy and bring up more dark flavors of chocolate, licorice and black tea.
