Carpineto Chianti Classico 2017
|Region||Italy, Tuscany, Chianti Classico|
Wine SpectatorThough fleshy and evoking black cherry and black currant flavors, this offers components of earth, tar and stiff, dry tannins as a counterpoint. A bit more rangy than its peers, yet should develop well with time. Sangiovese and Canaiolo. Best from 2021 through 2032. 35,000 cases made, 9,500 cases imported.
VinousThe 2017 Chianti Classico is another tasty, entry-level red from Carpineto. Juicy dark cherry, plum, chocolate, leather and spice are front and center. I would prefer to drink the 2017 sooner rather than later, while the flavors remain vibrant.
