The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Medalla Real Gran Reserva contains dashes of Syrah (3%) and Petit Sirah (2%) from Alto Jahuel and was aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. A textbook Cabernet Sauvignon, this is maroon red in the glass, with a fragrant nose of mint, cassis and plum jam against a sensual oak backdrop and hints of camphor. Fleshy in the mouth, it has grippy tannins and a solid but not overbearing structure. An indulgent, layered red.
