The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Red Mountain is dark and understated in the glass, with nuances of black currant, dusty florals and menthol lifting from the glass. It's silky-smooth and round on the palate, showing its minerality up front. Red berries and spice give way to grippy tannins. It leaves a staining of medicinal fruit concentration while tapering off lightly structured.

Pretty classic aromas of blackberry, worn saddle leather and cigar box are found on the nose of this red, along with bright notes of citrus, freshly cut grass and the vanilla-laden scent of sweet clover. Fruit is muted on the palate, with a touch of red raspberry to accompany allspice and freshly brewed coffee. The tannins are pillow soft and mouthfeel is on the lithe side.
