Renieri Brunello di Montalcino 2013
|Region||Italy, Tuscany, Brunello di Montalcino|
James Suckling Spectacular aromas of dark fruits such as cherries with undertones of peaches and orange peel and some floral character, too. Full body, layered and rich. Lightly chewy tannins. Incredibly long and flavorful. Makes you want to drink it now but it will age beautifully.
Wine SpectatorA rich version, with plum, cherry and saline, minerally flavors. Tobacco, grass and underbrush accents add depth as this finishes firm and crisp. Best from 2022 through 2035. 3,200 cases made, 900 cases imported.
Wine EnthusiastThis opens with subtle aromas of cedar, black plum and underbrush. The dense firmly structured palate offers blackberry jam, mocha and star anise alongside close-grained, rather astringent tannins. Drink after 2023.
