Bright ruby-red. Ripe dark berry and spicecake aromas are complemented by suggestions of licorice and candied flowers. Supple and broad on the palate, showing very good depth to the sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors. A smoky mineral quality emerges with air and carries through the gently tannic, herb-inflected finish, which leaves a zesty pepper note behind.
