Made with organically farmed Sangiovese, this medium-bodied red has aromas of forest floor, wild berries, camphor and new leather. The savory, elegantly structured palate doles out juicy black cherry, crushed raspberry and licorice as well as a cool smoky note that adds nuance. Drink through 2025.

A chunky style, this red evokes a core of cherry and raspberry, accented by Tuscan herbs, tobacco and earth. Firmly structured, yet stays fresh and long on the finish. Best from 2023 through 2030.

The 2019 Chianti Classico from Castello di Bossi is a light-bodied, aromatic wine to drink now and over the next few years. There is good aromatic complexity, but not enough depth or freshness to make me think the 2019 will be a longer term prospect. Crushed flowers, sweet pipe tobacco, cedar and earthy notes linger nicely.
