A spiced and savory Barolo with aromas of sour cherries, peach skin, cured meat and hints of dried rose hips. Well formed and delicate on the palate, it has a medium body and a smooth, textured mouthfeel. Dry and zesty with a lot of tension and spiciness in the finish. Drink after 2026.

The 2020 Barolo del Comune di La Morra is a potent, burly wine that is still coming together. Bright acids and imposing tannins stand out, perhaps because the 2020 was just bottled. It offers good depth and fine energy, but might very well turn out to be a bit better than this note suggests.
